My silly boyfriend found this video. While it’s not Mittens with Buttons, they do say ‘Mittens’ and ‘Buttons’ like I do. Listen carefully around :05.

This time of year everywhere you go in West Michigan everyone is wearing a beanie. My boyfriend seems to have recently become obsessed with them. Nearly every day he points out a beanie and asks, “can you make that?” Of course I can, but I haven’t, until now!
This is a beanie knit on a circular needle. It can be a bit tricky to get the feel to knit on a circular needle, but one you get the hang of it, it actually goes rather fast.
The rings you see are stitch counters which allows you to know where you are without counting.
I haven’t felt very motivated to knit the last few days, I’ve been reading a ton on the Kindle I got (from the boyfriend) for Christmas. This project has been hanging over my head for the last two weeks so I know I must finish it ASAP to get to a cowl I’ve been dying to make.
Pictures of the completed beanie to come soon (*fingers crossed*)
I came across these adorable socks as I was scrolling through my Winter Fashion Preview email from Vogue Knitting and have not been able to stop thinking about them!
Socks are generally not my thing. I prefer larger knitting projects like scarfs and cowls, but I’m will to bet that I will tackle these socks shortly and will be sporting them by spring!
